Hey guys,
This blog has only been up for a couple of weeks, but it would be nice for a couple of comments.
You guys are what will inspire me to create a fun Metroid game for all you avid game and Metroid fans.
So please, I would appreciate some comments from anyone, because any comment is valuable (that is if it isn't rude or anything :p)
P.S - The demo will be ready soon guys! I promise. Its close, and when it's available, I just know you guys will love it! :)
i'll be more than happy to try a demo. as far as any of the fan games go, samus' physics are by far the most important part. i hope you have it handling similar to a genuine metroid game, and not one of the first to! good luck to you.
ReplyDeleteJust found this, we'll see how good it is. I wish you luck. ArexL's enginge might not be the way to go ( Depending on which one).
ReplyDelete... you used my horrible engine? man, peace out, i can give you the better one...
ReplyDeleteNEVER use my first mzm movements engine. i repeat, NEVER
but oh well, if you need help with coding id be happy to though
It takes time to grow a community following. Don't worry if you don't have much interest for a while, you should be working on this for your own sake; especially in the beginning.
ReplyDeleteI would comment more, but I really don't know what your doing yet. What's the purpose of the game? What is the storyline? Where/when is it set in the Metroid universe? What kind of upgrades will Samus have? What are the game physics? Etc etc...
Alexr22, I used your 'second' Metroid movement engine, and I am getting my game coded by a friend.
ReplyDeleteBut from what I've seen, it is actually pretty good, mind you, I did look at your first engine and soon quit it :P.
huh? my 2 mzm movement engines are nearly the same, i even dunno whats different in them >_<
ReplyDeleteNah, I think the 2nd is slightly different, I think from memory it had wall jump or something, but I am pretty sure it was different in some way.
ReplyDeleteI might add, there was A LOT of code there, lol. Obviously however, for all the movements.
Considering you made the engine, I would really appreciate if you could code something for me if my present coder was unable to.
And just to add Alex, My coder has already implemented shooting and some more things. I have not seen it yet, and I have also updated the sounds to some better sounding sounds, if you know what I mean (no buzzing in the sound).
But overall I think it is a good engine, with the sprites I needed in it already.
ok....
ReplyDeletebut i warned you, its horrible...
and yeah, you didnt see my NEWEST engine
ReplyDeleteSounds good, Alex, but I dont want to just rip engines off you all the time...I want to get some of the credit here, lol.
ReplyDeletehah, you got a point >_<
